pride hath a fall
A FOOLISH STAG
One hot summer, day a stag went to a pool to drink water. The pool water was clear. The stag could see it reflection in the water. The reflection of his beautiful horns made him proud. But when it saw the shadow of its thin legs, it be came sad and felt hatred for them. After a while, the stage saw a hunter riding on a horse with hounds. The stag ran for his life as fast as its legs could make away from hounds. Soon, it reached a jungle of thick bushes. When it tried rush trough the bushes, its horns got entangled with the bushes. It struggled to free itself, but all in vain. Meanwhile, the hunter and his hounds reached there. The hounds fell upon it and tore it into the pieces. The legs which the stag hated, had carried the stag away from the hounds. But the beautiful horns upon which the stag was feeling proud, caused its death.
Moral:
Pride hath a fall.
All that glitters is not gold.
Be never proud of your ability.
