Always speak the truth
Robbers turn in to GOOD Citizens
Once Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Gillani (God be pleased with him) went on a journey when he was a young boy. His pious mother stitched up forty gold coins in his shirt. She advised him her to speak truth always. He joined a caravan and set off on his journey. When the caravan entered a forest, a gang of robber looted everything from the travellers of the caravan.
One robber cam to the boy and asked him, ''Do you have any thing? ''Yes i have forty gold coins .'' Replied the boy. The robber got surprised for his answer. He took the boy to his chief. He said,'' Why did you not deny having money? '' Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Gillani told the chief that his mother had advised him to speak the truth always.
This had a deep effect on the chief. He said alas! I do not obey the commands of ALLAH while this little boy strictly follows the advice of his mother.
He decided to give up all the evils and returned the looted money. He advised his men to live and honest life.
Moral: Always speak the truth.
